CSS3 is one of my favorite topics when it comes to talking web. The newest addition of CSS is allowing us as web designers and coders to do some amazing things within the normal style sheet. What I really love, is the fact that CSS3 can do a lot of the things that jQuery and Javascript normnally do.

I figured since web is my passion and this is my personal portfolio site, I'd challenge myself to code it all with HTML and CSS3. With the help from some tutorials and repurposed code I made it happen! Everything from the image slider and rollovers to the lightbox on my illustration and design pages use ONLY CSS. Isn't coding awesome?!

WEB DESIGN

I honestly never would have thought I'd be able to code my own websites, and I definitely would've never expected to love doing it as much as I do. I guess it kind of makes sense though, considering that I studied engineering before I switched to design. I feel like web developement is the perfect mix of structure and creativity.

I'm sure some of my friends think I'm crazy, but web is really exciting to me! Every time I run across a website that does something new and different I have to check out their source code. I love trying to figure out how they did it and how I can make it work for me. That's why I made this site only using HTML and CSS3. I really enjoy the challenge.
